We\’re looking for a talented Business Development Consultant to join our team, who will be responsible for managing sales directly with our SME clients with up to 750 employees focusing on our Salary Sacrifice product.
You will be the face and the voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting customers throughout their journey towards setting up a Salary Sacrifice scheme.
A genuine passion for customer experience and sustainability is a must with a passion for relationship building and the importance of customer service.
This role will include an uncapped commission structure and a generous car allowance as part of the overall package and will be based in our central London office 1-2 days a week.
**Please note this is a 9-12 month MAT contract**
What you\’ll do
- Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers – from lead through to delivery, meeting (and hopefully exceeding) targets set
- Strategically planning and targeting the acquisition of new customers
- Pitching and presenting our product and services to new clients
- Manage your pipeline and take control, recording progress in our CRM system and keeping things all up to dateRecording customer satisfaction and best practice measures
- Attend exhibition events to meet prospects, spread the word of electric vehicles and how we can help! (virtual and non virtual depending on restrictions)
- Provide excellent customer service through the sales process
- Work with the wider teams to iterate propositions, processes and materials to ensure we remain the leading provider in our B2B market space
What you\’ll need
- Proven track record of hitting sales targets whilst maintaining excellent customer experience (preferred)
- Previous experience within a B2B consultative environment and a strong passion for Electric Vehicles / Energy and decarbonisation (required)
- Excellent listening skills when working in B2B roles with an ability to identify customer needsGreat communication skills with an ability to manage and set customer expectations
- A ruthless focus on the customer with a genuine passion for going above and beyond
- An enthusiastic self starter that has a willingness to learn and the ability to problem solve
- An ability to show a completer finisher mentality and an understanding of processes as a whole to see the why behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire vision
- A start up / innovative mind-set that is able to adjust to change, keep up with the demands of a fast moving business and contribute towards its exciting growth potential
- Knowledge of employee benefits/rewards and/or car leasing is a bonus
- Experience of dealing with key stakeholders such as senior leaders, HR, Finance, Payroll or Reward Managers is a bonus
