About the role

At Malvern Panalytical, we’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A team. In this key role, you’ll provide strategic financial support to our Head Office functions, delivering high-quality cost analysis, forecasting, and budgeting insights that drive performance and informed decision-making.

You’ll take ownership of our SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning tool and play a pivotal role in enhancing our management reporting and business partnering capabilities. Operating within a dynamic, matrixed environment that spans FP&A, corporate functions, and other teams, your work will be integral to strengthening our financial planning processes and supporting the company’s strategic goals.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner within the FP&A team, helping to develop deeper insights into business performance through financial data analysis.
  • Play a key role in forecasting and budgeting processes, covering Overhead Expenditure, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and key performance indicators such as Working Capital.
  • Partner with business leaders — including Head Office and IT — to support monthly reporting reviews and financial performance discussions.
  • Coordinate and deliver timely and accurate group financial submissions in line with reporting requirements.
  • Take ownership of, and drive improvements in, the SAC Planning tool to enhance forecasting and planning capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to support and continuously improve reporting and insights using the SAC application

About you:

  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support effective decision-making.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring key performance indicators such as working capital and cash flow.
  • Experienced in using finance systems, particularly SAP ERP and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including SAC Stories and Planning tools.
  • Skilled in owning and improving processes, with a focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering value across teams.
  • Confident communicator and team player, able to build positive relationships and work effectively with colleagues across different teams and levels of the organisation.
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a supportive and inclusive way.
