We\’re seeking a talented and motivatedProject Manager – Engineeringto join our innovative site engineering team inDeeside, North Wales . This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to our mission to provide the most advanced and highest quality manufacturing and production facilities in the UK.With an ambitious growth plan, enabled by our industry-leading international experience and the most innovative and sustainable technologies, we are seeking industry professionals who will grow with the business and create a sustainable future operation.This position is located in Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales.What you\’ll do:Project Ownership & Leadership:Manage engineering projects across the site, including external influences, while leading and motivating the project team. Governance & Handover:Own and enforce the Management of Change (MoC) process, ensure formal handover of completed projects, and confirm project goals are met. Standards & Compliance:Set and uphold site engineering, installation, signage, and painting standards; ensure compliance with legislation and ISO procedures. Planning & Budget Control:Scope works, acquire estimates, monitor budgets, and report costs to accounts and capex teams to keep projects on track financially. Technical Oversight:Ensure technical issues are resolved using internal or external expertise, with supplier specifications meeting modern plant standards. Team & Resource Coordination:Collaborate with planners, stores, and schedulers to align BOMs, spares, shutdown plans, and project manpower requirements. Documentation & Systems:Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, and use SAP and site IT systems for purchasing, cost control, and trend analysis. Reliability & Improvement : Integrate predictive maintenance, RCFA, and FMEA into projects; plan and justify reliability and process improvement work. Health, Safety & Risk Management:Conduct risk assessments, SOPs, and coordinate contractor compliance including permits, inductions, and safety expectations. Act as deputy to the Engineering Manager, assist with site-wide duties and participate in the on-call rota.What you\’ll bring:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstratable experience. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the manufacturing industry Strong ability to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects within time and budget, including use of tools like SAP, Prince2. Ability to motivate cross-functional teams, delegate tasks, and manage both internal staff and external contractors. In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process systems, as well as relevant legislation codes of practice. Proficient in conducting Risk Assessments (RA) and managing SOPs. Excellent verbal and written skills to coordinate with operations, engineering, planning, external suppliers, and senior management. Have a strong focus on accurate project planning and forecasting. Familiarity with RCFA, FMEA, and other structured problem-solving tools to identify and resolve issues. Ability to manage and document changes in line with ISO and site-specific Management of Change procedures. Competence in SAP, drawing/documentation systems, and general site IT for trend analysis and project tracking. Awareness of emerging technologies, suppliers, and best practices (BAT) to enhance plant performance and reliability.Working ConditionsYou will initially work onsite within the Project village during construction work and will predominantly be working in a portacabin.
