A career that works for you: We’re looking for a Model Risk Senior Manager to join our Provisions and Model Risk Oversight team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.
This is a great time to join as you will play a significant part in the transition to the Barclays Model Risk Framework.
You’ll play a vital role in the ongoing management of Model Risk within Tesco Bank and be responsible for providing independent assurance of the models used.
You’ll be working within the Tesco Bank Risk team, alongside model developers and users, and the Barclays Independent Model Validation Unit.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining the Tesco Bank model risk governance framework by ensuring that all our models are subject to appropriate validation and satisfy all regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with key stakeholders to deliver effective and independent oversight of the models used in all areas of Tesco Bank.
- Support the transition of our models to the Barclays Model Risk Framework
We need you to have
- Experience of working across a wide range of Banking disciplines, which should include Finance, Credit Risk and Commercial Functions.
- Knowledge and understanding of model build, validation and governance within Retail Banking.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
And if you have any of these, even better
- Advanced Analytical Capability with in-depth knowledge of statistical and mathematical techniques and models used within Retail Banking.
- Strong understanding of the Regulatory agenda.
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
