Your contribution to Prysmian\’s Success:

We are looking for a Capex Project Manager to join our team in Wrexham. You will be responsible for the effective management of major projects in site, ensuring the continued development of the business. You’ll play an integral part in converting internal project requirements into external supplier specifications, selecting suppliers, creating integrated project plans, and managing both internal and external resources throughout the project duration.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget by utilizing project controls and developing technical specifications.

  • Provide installation and commissioning services for new plant equipment.

  • Management of all the contractors involved in the projects delivery, ensuring budget times and costs are respected

  • Ensure all health and safety requirements related to plant installations are met, in compliance with legislation.

  • Coordinate the Capex budget for the Wrexham plants, aligning with stakeholders on priorities within the available budget allocation

  • Support the Plant Manager in defining and preparing investment proposals

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department on tendering for projects works with the target of always choosing the best solution from a technical and cost point of view.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing plant projects, with a proven track record of achieving financial and time targets.

  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical situations and problems.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the drive and determination to ensure project success within set timelines and budgets.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects) and AutoCAD LT.
