Job Description

Location: Remote (with regular travel to London)
Contract Length: Immediate start – long-term project
Sector: Onshore Energy Infrastructure / Civil Construction

We are looking for a motivated professional to join a long-term infrastructure project focused on the development of an onshore land substation.
This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring construction quality across a multi-year project, working alongside a leading team of engineers and construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee the Quality Management System in line with project requirements.
  • Review and maintain project quality documentation across civil construction activities.
  • Coordinate QA/QC efforts with multiple stakeholders including contractors and inspection teams.
  • Support the development and execution of a risk-based audit and inspection schedule.
  • Review and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality plans, and related documents.
  • Lead or participate in quality audits, manage non-conformances, and support issue resolution.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement across the project.
  • Provide ongoing support to the wider project team in delivering quality objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive QA/QC experience, ideally in the civil infrastructure or energy sector.
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) and recognised Quality Management qualifications.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
  • Awareness of welding inspection (e.g. PCN Level 1), NDE, and coating inspection.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and influence across stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to attend weekly meetings in London and conduct site visits as required.
