In this vital role, youll shape and deliver creative, results-driven communication and engagement plans that connect our colleagues with our Group strategy, values, and goals. From logistics and retail to manufacturing and central support, youll partner with senior leaders across the organisation to ensure teams feel informed, inspired, and involved.
While youll support a wide range of internal communications activities, a key part of your role will be leading the successful planning and delivery of our internal events creating moments that matter for our people.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication & Business Partnering

Understand our Group business strategy, priorities, and challenges to shape communications that drive alignment and performance.

Provide expert communication consultancy and planning to senior leaders and stakeholders to support the delivery of business goals.

Develop and maintain strong, credible relationships across the business, acting as a trusted partner who delivers high-impact communication outcomes.

Contribute to building a leader-led communications culture by supporting leaders with tools, coaching, and guidance.
Content Creation & Channel Management

Create clear, compelling, and engaging written communications that cut through and resonate with colleagues.

Ability to create creative communications using a variety of mediums such as film, and effectively use design tools such as adobe express

Deliver communications and engagement plans using the existing channel mix, ensuring consistency and alignment with our Group strategy and values.
Event Management

Lead the delivery of high-quality event experiences that support leadership visibility including live streams, face-to-face leadership events, and our annual conference.

Support with the logistics, messaging, and delivery of these events to ensure consistency and colleague connection.
Colleague Listening & Inclusion

Support the end-to-end delivery of colleague listening activities such as the Your Say survey and other feedback mechanisms.

Help shape the actions arising from colleague feedback to support engagement, retention, and culture development.

Contribute to initiatives that support DFSs inclusion ambition and help embed a more inclusive and connected colleague experience.

Proven experience in a senior internal communications or business partnering role.

Exceptional writing and editing skills able to translate complex topics into engaging, easy-to-understand content.

Strong project and stakeholder management skills able to influence, negotiate and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Experience planning and delivering communications in complex, operational businesses (multi-site or multi-audience environments preferred).

Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional events and internal campaigns across multiple channels.

Excellent understanding of internal communications best practice, channels, and tools.

Experience in colleague engagement and feedback mechanisms, including survey design, delivery, and action planning.

Experience in basic design skills to create engaging communications using all forms of media – written, film, presentations
