Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer Responsibilities:
With day-to-day reporting to the Group Information Security Officer (GISO), you will combine operational monitoring and incident response with hands-on project delivery. This is a role for a security professional who thrives in both technical and collaborative settings. Key duties include:
- Monitoring and analysing network traffic, systems, and logs for unusual or malicious activity.
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Implementing and maintaining security tools and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigating security incidents, responding to potential breaches, and documenting findings.
- Leading security-focused projects across the network, Windows Desktop/Server environments, VMware, Intune, O365/Azure, and related systems.
- Reviewing and remediating vulnerabilities in collaboration with relevant teams.
Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer Requirements:
- Technically adept with proven experience as a security analyst or engineer.
- Proficiency with security tools, including SIEM, PAM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and MS Sentinel.
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools such as Tenable.
- Excellent analytical skills for identifying and addressing security threats.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
