Job Description
Optical Systems Engineer – Medical Devices – Cambridge\\n\\nFollowing continued growth, a Medical Devices organisation is currently recruiting for someone to come into the team and focus on the optical systems design.\\n\\nBased in Cambridge, working with mechanical engineers, electronics engineers and software engineers to develop their life-improving medical devices.\\n\\nAs you will be focusing on optical systems design, it is expected that you have been working as an optical physicist, optical engineer, optical systems engineer, optical systems designer, opto-mechanical engineer or another role that has involved you in working on optical systems designing, prototyping, and testing of new medical devices.\\n\\nYou will be developing a range of medical technologies, so you will need to be able to use optical design tools such as Zemax, Code-V, OSLO, FRED or another similar technology.\\n\\nDue to the collaborative nature of the work, you will need to be able to communicate your ideas and project updates clearly and concisely.\\n\\nWe are looking at various levels of industry experience, from PhD entry through to someone who has 15-20 years of experience.\\n\\nWe expect you to hold a degree within a subject that led you into optical systems design roles.
