The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

We are looking for a Lecturer of Business, Digital and IT English within Adult Learning team.

Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer who has a proven record of innovation and a pro-active approach to delivery. You will have also demonstrated an understanding and sensitivity towards the needs of your learners and used this to help them reach their true potential.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player. As well as relevant experience, you will be qualified with a related degree. You will have achieved a teaching qualification at Level 5 (DTLLS or equivalent).

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

? To deliver teaching on Adult Digital and IT, Event Planning, Customer Service, Team Leading, Cyber Security and Business start-up programmes.
? To assist in the development and delivery of a flexible Adult offer, including daytime, evening and online sessions, to meet the diverse needs of learners and the wider community.
? Play an active role in raising the standard and awareness of our adult programmes across the college community, through such activities as open events, outreach, and community engagement initiatives that promote the value and relevance of adult education in supporting future careers.
? Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of assessment and examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.

Required Skills and Experience:

? Has a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
? Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or equivalent.
? Has teaching experience, ideally within the Adult and Community Learning sector.
? Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
? Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.
