We’re recruiting for a Commercial Sales Executive to cover the South West region on behalf of a well-established and respected marine safety business. This is a field-based sales role focused on the commercial maritime sector, offering an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, delivering solutions, and driving regional growth.
Our client is a leading provider of marine safety equipment and services, delivering innovative and reliable solutions across the leisure, commercial, and military sectors. Known for their commitment to quality and technical expertise, the business has built a strong reputation as a trusted name in marine safety—both in the UK and internationally.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in technical or commercial sales, ideally within the marine or maritime sector, who is a confident communicator and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, able to manage their own schedule, and confident handling the full sales cycle while working independently across the South West region.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined regional territory, developing both existing accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, focusing on long-term growth and customer retention.
  • Identify and maintain a strong sales pipeline, targeting key markets and sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships at senior level within the commercial shipping sector.
  • Support the identification and onboarding of new distributors and service centres.
  • Collaborate with the senior sales team to shape the region’s market development strategy.
  • Represent the business at trade exhibitions, training sessions, and industry conferences.
  • Collect and report on key market intelligence, including pricing trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide valuable customer insight to support product development initiatives.
  • Deliver technical advice and tailored product solutions based on operational vessel needs.
