Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the provision of clear and consistent HSE information, advice, guidance, monitoring and support to all contracts and site-based activities.
- Ensuring HSE standards are established before and during contract execution and are maintained and developed to deliver both statutory and non-statutory obligations.
- Actively promote a positive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture across all contracts and site-based activities responding proactively to any identified areas of concern.
- Provide advice embracing all areas of HSE to operations and onshore facilities.
- Proactively monitor, measure and report on HSE performance following company and customer policy and procedure.
- Act as the company’s HSE representative at contractor and customer meetings.
- Advise operations and contract management teams on all HSE related matters including compliance with Business Management System requirements.
- Mobilise offshore as and when required to conduct audits, inspections and to engage directly with the Bilfinger offshore workforce
- Guide and provide competent advice during investigations
- To ensure that actions arising from incident investigations, sites visits and audits are captured on the appropriate company systems to enable actions to be tracked to closure.
- Advise project teams on all HSE related matters.
- Review, and update existing HSE procedures as legislative, or best practice changes occur.
- Give guidance and advice on matters relating to HSE systems and initiatives within Bilfinger UK Limited.
- Develop, promote and monitor compliance with HSE performance indicators.
- Develop and enhance the HSE culture throughout the company.
- Deliver HSE Training as required..
- Develop project interface documents and HSE Plans.
- Collate, maintain and share with relevant Mobilisation Focal Point occupational health information pertaining to HAVS and Skin check returns and any other occupational health information.
- Proactively review of work packs and bring to the attention of the project manager the control measures.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the position holder is required to perform other duties as may arise in connection with the successful operation of the Company or assigned by the HSE Manager
Experience & Qualifications
- Highly Experienced in the offshore industry
- Proven track record in a similar role
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Environmental Qualifications (e.g. IEMA)
- BOSIET
- Offshore Medical
- Detailed knowledge of occupational hygiene requirements and monitoring techniques (Desirable).
