Our client is a leading independent Oil & Gas company with operations worldwide. This opportunity is available in our UK subsidiary which manages operations in the Southern North Sea.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our Operations Support Team based in Norwich. This position is responsible for delivering solutions to process engineering issues for our offshore assets. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with company process performance standards and HSE legislations.
This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday – Friday, with occasional visits to offshore assets as required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Participate actively in design safety reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA studies, etc.
- Provide engineered responses to process design issues identified during safety reviews.
- Ensure process engineering solutions comply with health, safety, environmental legislation, and best practices, requiring knowledge of HSE standards, risk management tools, and operational experience.
- Manage project delivery including writing operating instructions, procedures, assisting with commissioning, and coordinating with other disciplines to execute work packs.
- Manage Management of Change (MOC) proposals, providing technical assurance for modifications.
- Support operations in assessing process safety issues by reviewing isolations, risk assessments, drawings, and procedural changes when needed.
- Identify value-adding opportunities in production systems, initiate modifications, and oversee their completion.
Key Requirements Include:
- Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry.
- Degree or equivalent in Process or Chemical Engineering.
- Chartered status with IChemE is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to travel offshore; valid BOSIET survival and MIST certificates required.
- Knowledge of Management of Change processes.
