The Role:

Debtwire\’s Credit Research Team provides unique insights and valuation analysis on companies and their securities involved in restructuring, transforming events, or capital raising. The team also offers macro analysis derived from company-specific and securities research.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows) and legal documents (bond indentures, covenants, bank loan and collateral documents).
  2. Produce detailed credit research on stressed, distressed, and restructuring companies, including writing credit reports that summarize key risks, mitigants, sector risks, macroeconomic factors, and comparable companies.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  1. Over 5 years of experience as a credit or equity analyst.
  2. Excellent understanding of financial statements and a drive to thoroughly analyze supporting information.
  3. Curiosity and persistence in analyzing complex situations and obtaining information.
  4. Thorough understanding of debt and equity securities and their markets.
  5. Valuation experience, including waterfall and DCF analysis.
  6. Strong writing skills to build and articulate investment theses.
  7. Some knowledge of bankruptcy processes.
  8. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively and manage workflow under strict deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Spanish, French, or German.
