Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CDM Site Manager to join our client\’s team on an exciting contract-based project in Kent. The role focuses on ensuring safety and efficiency on site, including unique challenges related to the site\’s history as part of a WW2 area. The candidate will help uphold and drive our client\’s standards in project management and site safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing the site and overseeing excavation processes.
- Assessing and managing risks, particularly those associated with potential unexploded materials.
- Implementing and monitoring safety and evacuation procedures.
- Liaising with the police and other key stakeholders as necessary.
- Leading and managing the site team, ensuring all workers adhere to safety regulations and project guidelines.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Essential qualifications: NEBOSH General (or higher), SMSTS and First Aid certificates are essential.
- Risk Management: The ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards on-site.
- Site Preparation and Management: Expertise in overseeing excavation and ensuring operations meet safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Experience managing a team, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.
- Work Pattern: Monday-Friday – 12 hour days.
- Possible late days: 2-3 days during excavation and concrete pouring due to weather.
- Post‑concrete phase: Disconnecting underground lines, including a hydrogen pipeline .
- Overall project purpose: Produce hydrogen energy from water .
