This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Environmental Team in a Major Energy Company and be a pivotal part of the growth and development of that team. We are looking for an experienced Oil and Gas Technical Lead who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Environmental Technical Lead role will be demanding and varied with involvement in client development and bidding as well as technical delivery and leadership of the growing team of environmental specialists. The ideal candidate will have a background in delivering environmental support in the UK Oil and Gas sector and a strong desire to be a technical leader. The role will report directly into the Market Director Environment. Support and guidance will be provided in leadership, business development and technical delivery as necessary.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience delivering related environmental and sustainability services.
- Degree(s) in a relevant subject matter.
- Chartership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CEnv).
- Experience working in the UK Energy industry, ideally on Oil and Gas projects.
- Existing network of clients and industry contacts.
- Experience leading work scopes to meet delivery/cost targets without compromising quality.
- Familiar with relevant legislation and industry standards and able to apply this knowledge and advise clients.
- Ability to prepare technical reports to a high standard and check the work of others.
- Experience in a client-facing role, showing an understanding of commercial challenges relevant to a consultancy business, confident in selling our services and winning work.
- Experience of leading or contributing to successful bids and proposals.
- Proactive in the identification and delivery of opportunities to grow the business.
