The impact you\’ll have
Reporting to the Head of Analytics, the Principal Data Analyst will work and lead across a high performing team to deliver analytical solutions to strategic questions, analysing operational performance, and advising and supporting on day to day decision making.
Your day-to-day
- Managing a team of 4 analysts working across multiple stakeholder groups including product, marketing and trading.
- Acting as the key analytics contact point for the leadership team for Selling (everything that happens up until to the point the customer books with loveholidays).
- Levelling up analytical influence on the customer experience as we drive towards data assisted decision making, leveraging data to deeply understand the causal drivers of performance and identifying opportunities to improve.
- Setting standards for high quality visualisations and reports (we use Looker and Looker Studio).
- Working with stakeholders to define & measure the metrics that best enable us to understand the wins and opportunities within the business.
- Working closely with analysts, engineers and commercial teams to ensure that data products meet the needs of stakeholders and reporting.
Your skill set
- Expert capabilities across analyst tooling – incl. SQL and a programming language such as R or Python.
- Experience using a visualisation tool such as Tableau or Looker.
- Extensive experience in Marketing, Product or Commercial analytics.
- Collaborative approach and good relationship builder – with proven experience of stakeholder engagement and a reputation for strategic thinking.
- Ability and desire to own projects from brief through to delivery.
- Curiosity and the ability to join the dots between different parts of the organisation.
- Good knowledge of advanced analytical methodologies.
- Experience leading small to medium sized teams of analysts in a fact paced environment.
Desirable skills
- Experience with a version control system such as git.
- Experience of experimentation, attribution or marketing mix modelling.
- Experience of analytical engineering – perhaps using a tool such as dbt.
