Tract is a team of digital infrastructure experts dedicated to accelerating responsible data center growth by developing master-planned data center parks with access to pre-positioned power and fiber in key markets where hyperscale and wholesale demand is going. Our approach is collaborative with cities and counties to ensure development is targeted for the optimal locations to maximize the revenue and economic development benefits for the community while being good stewards of the land and minimizing the impact on neighbors. Tract is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with real estate holdings throughout the United States. Tract is currently building out a pan-European team to invest in key target markets.
Position Overview:
The Senior GIS Developer, Europe will play a strategic role in shaping the geospatial capabilities of our land, power, and infrastructure investments across Europe, in support of future AI data center campus development . This position requires a forward-thinking analyst, a thought leader who can develop and implement GIS-driven insights and solutions that support large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in Europe and the United States to enhance site selection, investment analysis, and operational efficiency through geospatial data, and this will also require select developmental skills.
This role involves managing the full lifecycle of spatial data, from acquisition to analysis and visualization. The successful candidate will drive GIS infrastructure development, ensuring that geospatial intelligence is seamlessly integrated into our investment strategy. With a strong focus on innovation, they will leverage cutting-edge mapping technologies and analytical tools to inform decision-making and maximize investment potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic GIS Development & Data Integration
- Lead the design and implementation ofGIS solutionsto support land acquisition, power infrastructure planning, and AI data center development.
- Identify and integratespatial data sourcesto enhance market analysis and investment insights.
- Develop processes to ensureaccurate, up-to-date geographic datafor strategic decision-making.
- Leverage GIS to assess risks, opportunities, and environmental considerations across multiple locations.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and maintenance of geospatial data, ensuring its reliability and accessibility.
- Develop streamlined workflows for processing and visualizing geographic information to support investment evaluations.
- Implement cloud-based GIS solutions that allow real-time collaboration and data sharing across teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner withland acquisition, energy, and investment teamsto provide actionable insights through geospatial analysis.
- Guide internal stakeholders on how to utilize GIS tools effectively for business growth and operational improvements.
- Stay ahead of emerging geospatial technologies and best practices to drive continuous innovation in the field.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Strong experience in designing and implementingGIS strategies for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in analyzinggeospatial data to inform business and investment decisions.
- Ability to translate complex geographic information intoclear, actionable insightsfor senior leadership.
- Experience withcloud-based GIS platformsand modern data visualization techniques.
- Proven ability to leadGIS initiativesin dynamic, fast-paced investment environments and specialized expertise in spatial/GIS data analysis and ETL design with deep experience in:
o Database management
o Data maintenance
o Spatial data gathering and cataloging, particularly from a GIS perspective
o PostGIS / posgresql
