A leading insurance company has an exciting new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity/Liability Claims Adjuster. This role involves handling a range of Professional Indemnity and Pharmaceuticals claims, from initial advice through to settlement. Applicants should have prior Professional Indemnity claims handling experience; any Liability claims experience will be advantageous. A working knowledge of ECF will also be beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Verify and settle claims related to Professional Indemnity and Liability.
  2. Investigate and negotiate claims as required.
  3. Positively influence the handling and settlement of claims on both direct and reinsurance portfolios.
  4. Check case reserves and ensure adequate provisions are made for outstanding liabilities.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, cedants, and clients.
  6. Conduct client visits, audits, and due diligence where required.
  7. Identify and analyze legal, political, and market developments. Report those developments and their potential impact on the business to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Build and maintain a reputation as a technical expert and market leader on Casualty claims-related issues.
