A leading insurance company has an exciting new opportunity for a Professional Indemnity/Liability Claims Adjuster. This role involves handling a range of Professional Indemnity and Pharmaceuticals claims, from initial advice through to settlement. Applicants should have prior Professional Indemnity claims handling experience; any Liability claims experience will be advantageous. A working knowledge of ECF will also be beneficial.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify and settle claims related to Professional Indemnity and Liability.
- Investigate and negotiate claims as required.
- Positively influence the handling and settlement of claims on both direct and reinsurance portfolios.
- Check case reserves and ensure adequate provisions are made for outstanding liabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, cedants, and clients.
- Conduct client visits, audits, and due diligence where required.
- Identify and analyze legal, political, and market developments. Report those developments and their potential impact on the business to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a reputation as a technical expert and market leader on Casualty claims-related issues.
