Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Banking or Financial Services domain to join our banking client for an initial 10-month contract based in the City of London.
Rate of Pay: Up to £540 per day (inside IR35 via an umbrella company).
Tenure: 10 months, with the possibility of extension.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite at Liverpool Street, 2 days remote.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working within a data team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, scope, and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with data & analytics disciplines such as data governance, data quality, business intelligence, data engineering, and ad hoc analytics, with a passion for leveraging data to improve business outcomes.
- Previous roles as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Junior Project Manager, or similar.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation using appropriate tools, principles, and best practices.
- Understanding of project management methodologies like waterfall and agile.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to and facilitating groups of business users at all levels and explaining technical solutions to non-technical colleagues.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively to meet challenging deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
- SQL skills for requirements support and data analysis, including working with raw and aggregated data and reviewing transformation logic.
