Job Description This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) , including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions. As the Safety & Health Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role inproviding operational support in matters of industrial safety and health. Your primary focus will be to support the UKAEA\’s management of safety & health, focusing on supporting major projects. You will work closely with the heads of division and their Teams to drive a proactive culture. This will suit a safety & health professional who is, or working towards chartered status and willing to challenge, mentor and support senior management in matters of safety & health. Additional Responsibilities Provide safety and health expertise to staff and contractors within the business area to ensure statutory compliance. Support the business through monitoring and measuring safety & health performance and culture. recommending actions for improvement. With the relevant Head of Division conduct audits and inspections of the business areas. To manage the S&H incident reports relevant to Divisions, ensuring appropriate actions are assigned, cause analysis is completed and there is a validation of closure. To guideon S&H investigations including undertaking and completing Fact Finds and attending formal inquiries. Qualifications NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards CMIOSH. Experience in the safety management of Construction (Design and Management) Projects Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships to be developed with people in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility Experience in carrying out audits and investigations UKAEA\’s mission is clean energy for all, and we welcome talented people from all backgrounds who want to help us achieve our mission.
