Commercial Gas Engineer

Position: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: London (energy centres, plant rooms no nationwide travel)
Salary: £48,500 £65,000 DOE (up to £70,000 for exceptional candidates) + Benefits
Hours: Monday Friday, 8am5pm (occasional overtime/call-out on rota basis)

Overview:
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading engineering company that operates exclusively in plant rooms, energy centres, and commercial heating systems. This role offers stability, high technical standards, and a supportive working environment where engineers are trusted and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems in large scale plant rooms and energy centres.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex faults on heating systems.

  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to share knowledge and support apprentices/junior staff.

  • Maintain high levels of compliance, safety, and workmanship.

Requirements:

  • ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (minimum COCN1/COCNPI1 or equivalent).

  • TCPC1 Required
  • Boosters required.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial plant room environments.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge beyond gas appliances.

  • Full UK driving licence.
