Job Description
Fantastic experience for a management accountant to develop their skills in a PE backed business in East Lothian which has a real focus on sustainability. This role would ideally suit someone who was looking to work closely with a great mentor and manager and develop their management accounting skills and commercial acumen over the next few years. Ideally you will be a part qualified accountant looking for progression however QBE accountants are also encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for ledger management, monthend and year end processes and KPI analysis.
The Role
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Bank reconciliation and credit card analysis
- Payroll analysis and administration including P11D's and P60's
- KPI analysis with ownership of financial KPI calculations, analysis of income, expense and payroll
- Analysis of operational KPI's covering the manufacturing process
- Monthend processes including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Supporting with the annual statutory accounts
- Dealing with the auditors in terms of requests for information
- HMRC submissions: PAYE, NIC, VAT
- Some credit control duties
The Person
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a busy accounting environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships
- Good analytical skills
- An aptitude for finance systems, ideally Dynamics 365
- A willingness to be in the office 5 days a week (flexibility offered)
