Job Background/context:

Citi Global Wealth at Work is one of the core pillars of Citi's Wealth strategy, providing Banking, Lending, Investments services and advice to senior professionals and their firms. Wealth at Work has four core verticals – Law Firm Group, Asset Manager Group, Professional Services Group and Enterprise, operating a B2B2C model.

This role will be as a Banker within the Asset Manager Group (AMG). AMG services the needs of financial professionals working in Private Equity Firms, Hedge Fund and Traditional Managers. The International business covers the UK, Europe and Middle East and we are looking for a banker to join an active and cohesive team in London to help us continue our impressive growth.

What you'll do

The primary objective of the role is to actively identify and onboard investment prospects within both the existing book of business and other Target Market firms. You would then manage these clients and the existing book, working alongside our investment team. In addition, you will be charged with overseeing the broader relationship with certain firms on an institutional basis, bringing the wider franchise to the client. This involves close co-ordination with our Markets business and other partners within the broader Wealth organisation.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients who frequently seek strategic advice regarding financial matters.
  • Effectively manage client expectations regarding what can and cannot be executed on their behalf.
  • Maintain full understanding of client goals and risk tolerance to ensure that financial strategies are appropriate.
  • Bring together the product experts to develop long-term solutions to strengthen relationships with the firm.
  • Help clients achieve broad financial/investment goals related to the creation and management of wealth.
  • Develop tailored solutions that address clients' investment, risk management, and financing/liquidity needs.
  • Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly activities to maximize revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  • Close the deal, making concessions that are appropriate and in line with the fundamental interests of the Citi Wealth at Work.
  • Build relationships/partner with support groups in Citi Wealth at Work to maintain control, find solutions and resolve issues.
  • Ensure clients are presented with seamless execution of internal processes and Citigroup services.
  • Understand and communicate the risk involved with various investment strategies.
  • Establish credibility and trust with all Citi Wealth colleagues, maintaining the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.
  • Present and communicate complex financial concepts and investment strategies with the highest degree of professionalism.

What we'll need from you

  • Extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Apply an in-depth level of knowledge in key investment and financing products.
  • Extensive and proven experience in Private Banking having covered the HNW/ UHNW market / Extensive experience in working with and/or leading client teams and transactions / Demonstrated track record in relationship management and investments.

Education:

  • Investment Advisory Diploma
