Capstan Setter/Operator About Us Join our precision machine shop where we specialise in high-precision, one-off too small batch production for industries like Oil and Gas, Petro Chem etc. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, custom parts and solutions, leveraging the latest technologies and a skilled team. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Capstan Setter/Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting and operating Ward Capstan lathes to produce precision-turned components from a variety of materials. This role is integral to ensuring our high standards of accuracy and quality are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: * Set up and operate Ward Capstan lathes. * Utilize tools such as Landis and Coventry die heads, Fette rollers, roller boxing, and broaching tools. * Work from engineering drawings to produce precision-turned parts. * Perform self-inspection of components using all relevant measuring equipment to maintain strict quality standards. * Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired results. * Work collaboratively with the quality and production teams to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
