Location: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Oldham, Swansea Salary: Β£54,857 per annum (Plus an additional allowance up to Β£25,543) Job Summary As a Lead Service Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping and improving public services that impact millions of road users across the UK. You will lead the design of end-to-end, user-centred services that are inclusive, accessible, and grounded in evidence. Working closely with service and product owners, policy experts, and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that design strategies align with the organisation\’s broader mission to keep Britain moving safely and sustainably. This includes supporting the agencys strategic goals to 2025 and beyond, which focus on simplifying services, leveraging data and technology, and enabling people and businesses to make safe and sustainable choices. Job Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the design and continuous improvement of end-to-end services, ensuring they are data-driven and user-centred. Collaborate with service and product owners to align design plans with their strategic goals. Champion inclusive and accessible design practices. Work with other Lead roles in the User Centred Design team to guide the Service Design profession by setting standards and mentoring designers. Work with internal and external stakeholders, including policy experts, service owners, and other government departments, to enhance their services.
