Based at our headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, we have a small multi-disciplined, dynamic team designing and manufacturing high-value robotic machines for testing PCBs (printed circuit boards). The majority of our sales are to China and the USA, where we operate our own small factories and employ local teams to provide high-quality customer support. RoBAT is firmly established as the leading company in this very specialised and niche marketplace. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a company at the forefront of industrial automation. We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and reliable Service and Commissioning Engineer who will play a crucial role in the production of our electrical test machines. The role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and precision. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork and problem-solving, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and close-knit team. In addition to this as our Service and Commissioning Engineer you will be specifically responsible for: * Commissioning new machines after they have been assembled by the production department. This will include fault finding down to component level to identify root causes and provide solutions * Interpreting technical mechanical/electrical drawings. * Interfacing with our service engineers and collaborate with production and development team members to troubleshoot issues and improve machine performance. * Assisting in machine upgrades, modifications and customisations as required.
