Simon Acres Group are working with a well-established builders merchant, seeking a Plumbing and Heating Specialist to join their team at the Exeter branch on a full-time basis.This is a permanent position paying up to £32,000 + bonus Hours of Work: Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 + Saturday, 08:00–12:00 Key responsibilities:
Supporting customers at the trade counter with expert product knowledge and delivering exceptional service, while driving sales and supporting internal operations.

Provide customers with friendly, efficient service and expert product advice

Drive sales through effective follow-up, promotional selling, and quotations

Work closely with the Plumbing & Heating Manager to ensure consistency and best practice

Maximise margins through effective pricing and supplier negotiation

Process enquiries and quotes quickly and accurately (within 3 working days)

Support external sales reps by handling internal needs and customer liaison

Carry out site surveys when needed to support customer requirements

Ensure all special orders are placed with preferred suppliers at best prices
