Job Description: Head of Sales About CST Training CST Training is a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding private training provider, offering professional development courses across industries such as construction, health and safety, project management, and leadership. Our mission is to empower individuals and organisations through exceptional training. At CST Training, we value simplicity, wisdom, and innovation, and we’re looking for a talented individual to join our senior leadership team. You will work remotely, however it will be advantageous if you are close to our head office in Dartford, Kent. However, this is not a deal breaker. The Role We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales to take a pivotal role in driving our growth and leading our sales team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will be responsible for coaching and managing a diverse sales team, including business development managers, and ensuring they achieve ambitious targets. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, adept at managing high-performing teams that generate £10 million plus in revenue annually. This role is instrumental in maintaining and improving team performance, segmenting sales functions, and driving success in both warm and cold sales strategies. The candidate must have exceptional technical and leadership skills, particularly in utilising systems like HubSpot to monitor, report, and optimise team performance. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Coaching: Manage and mentor a diverse sales team with varying roles and abilities. Coach business development managers and sales staff to unlock their full potential. Develop and implement sales strategies that drive team success. Performance Management: Set and monitor high-performance targets for the team, ensuring they remain on track to achieve ambitious revenue goals. Ensure all sales teams, across segments, are aligned and supported to meet their individual targets without losing focus on any team. Tech-Savvy Oversight: Use HubSpot and other automated tools for reporting, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. Train and coach the team on leveraging technology to maximise efficiency and conversions. Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports to track progress. Sales Development: Drive cold sales strategies to expand revenue streams, complementing our current warm lead approach. Oversee the segmentation of the sales function, ensuring clear objectives and accountability for each segment. Innovate processes to improve conversion rates across courses. Requirements Proven experience as a senior sales leader, managing high-performing teams generating £10 million plus in revenue annually. Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a history of developing teams to achieve high conversion rates (70%+). Proficiency in using HubSpot and other CRM systems for reporting, monitoring, and automation. Demonstrated ability to segment sales teams and manage multiple teams effectively, ensuring balanced attention and performance. A track record of success in developing cold sales strategies alongside warm lead approaches. Tech-savvy, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve automated systems while training staff on best practices. Experience in CST Training’s core fields—construction education, health and safety training, project management, or leadership—highly desirable.
