About the Role The importance of this role within the P3M CM team has been reinforced following a strategic review in 2024/25, leading to an updated operational matrix model that integrates all aspects of the commercial lifecycle with essential business partnering responsibilities. Reporting to the Senior Director for Programme and Commercial Management UK, Ireland and Europe, your role as Associate Director will involve leading work winning initiatives across Europe focusing on strategic service offer, offer benchmarking, risk management, teaming or partnership arrangements, and operations in the Nuclear Sector, which encompasses nuclear new build, nuclear decommissioning, advanced nuclear (small modular reactors, advanced modular reactors) and Fusion. Your primary goal will be to drive Service Excellence in PMO Management at Egis within these sectors, delivering services that closely align with customer satisfaction, business needs, and stakeholder interests, thus establishing yourself as a trusted PMO advisor. Additionally, you will be responsible for nurturing relationships with Egis’s key and strategic suppliers to secure service quality, value for money and superior capability management. The role will focus on the UK and has potential for promotion to Europe. Your responsibilities will include directing various facets of the PMO associated with the Project and Programme lifecycle, with a focus on strategic pricing/ cost policy development, analysing commercial options, and overseeing the procurement process. This role involves formulating and implementing strategic PMO management plans, conducting supplier negotiations as needed, and providing timely and effective support and expertise to the business. As a leader within the P3M CM function, you will play a crucial role in setting standards across the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line focusing on Nuclear. Overall Role The Nuclear PMO Management Lead holds a key leadership dual role, both as practice leader (PMO Management) and sector leader (Nuclear) for their respective practice discipline reporting to the Senior Director Project, Programme, PMO and Commercial Management for the UK, Ireland and Europe and working closely with the Nuclear Director. As P3M CM practice (PMO Management) key leader you will be expected to be: Accountable for standardising and innovating PMO capability for Project and Programme Management service offerings in the Nuclear Sectors, ensuring compliance of resources to service excellence standards. Accountable for managing, developing and retaining the resource talent within P3M CM, whilst ensuring PMO resources are mobilised on the relevant projects. As P3M CM Nuclear PMO sector leader you will be expected to: Support the Senior Director and the Nuclear Director to build, shape and lead the Sectors. Accountable for leading PMO services for Nuclear sectors within the market – defining the market strategy and driving the relevant Sectors’ pipelines for the project and programme management practice aspect of the service offer. Accountable for overseeing bids, tenders and submissions for the practice discipline within the Sector, preparing project commercials and approving service & execution plans. Accountable for overall project delivery for practice discipline and providing necessary oversight to resolve issues. What do we need from you Bachelor’s or master’s Degree qualification in an engineering or numeric discipline. Full Membership of chartered body such as IMechE, ICE, IEE, RICS, APM or equivalent. Extensive experience postgraduate with ideally a wealth of this being in nuclear sectors. Experience in establishing PMO and project controls on Programme Client Partner, Programme Delivery Partner and/or Programme Integrator. Experience in creation of dashboards, performance reports. Creating a monthly drumbeat to drive best project, programme and financial performance. Experience of interfacing with SAP and Oracle financial modules and interfacing into PMO functions. Experience in setting up PMO project delivery systems including document control and extant record keeping. Line Management and recruitment experience. CDM regulation knowledge and experience. PRINCE2 Practitioner an advantage. Risk management experience or qualification such as Manager of Risk at Practitioner level (MoR). Experience supporting the wellbeing and coaching of resources. Ability and experience to oversee the on-boarding process of new joiners into the business. Advantageous Specialist PMO Software knowledge. Premavera or equivalent planning software. Microsoft Project: Project scheduling and management. Asana: Task management and team collaboration. Trello: Visual project management with boards, lists, and cards.
