CiTECH have exciting opportunity for an experienced Aftermarket Manager to lead and develop our Waste heat recovery / boiler Aftermarket business. The position will be located in our Hessle office and will include occasional international travel.

Designer and supplier of specialist compact Waste Heat Recovery Units and innovative Boilers for the offshore Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries. With over 80 years of history, CiTECH are the early pioneers of energy efficient, flue gas Waste Heat Recovery in the UK; we developed and patented the worlds first compact, circular Waste Heat Recovery Unit.

The role:
Responsibility to lead and manage the Aftermarket function at CiTECH. Organise and coordinate departmental activities and resources to ensure all service and spares contracts are timely executed to best practice satisfying the Customers expectations. Be the driving force in generating Aftermarket Sales, developing new sales contacts, building key customer relationships, identify business opportunities; meanwhile managing existing customers requirements are met whilst keeping fully acquainted with their equipment and needs.
Responsibilities include:

  • Be the primary interface with the customer for all Aftermarket/Service matters.
  • Be responsible for and conduct day-to-day Aftermarket support duties providing initial point of contact.
  • Responsibility for planning and scheduling of team resources according to aftermarket and/or project requirements.
  • Coordinate spare part orders with direct liaison with clients; timely management of sourcing and supply of parts to provide exemplary customer service.
  • Diligently and accurately create spare part quotations and make offers and negotiate on all Aftermarket contracts, and control and recording of any changes according to customer and CiTECH requirements.
  • To organise and manage Field Service Engineers/Technicians and Contractors deployment and activities to meet client requirements.
  • Proactive promotion of the Company, our products and services, including but not limited: ad-hod promotional visit(s) to customer sites.
  • Ensure all deployments are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner. Monitor and control costs of services, and ensure work(s) are invoiced according to agreed budgets / actual mobilisations.
  • Provide or organise the delivery of product technical support (as applicable / reasonable / chargeable).
  • To analyse and mitigate: Aftermarket technical, commercial and HSE risk (including creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
  • Create, maintain & update Aftermarket database & records on the Companys electronic Network / ERP / CRM system.
  • To ensure the handling, collection and dispatch of all client spares are on time complete with correct documentation for shipment.
  • To manage and maintain the Aftermarket department budget, and spare parts stock holding.
  • Be readily available (including out of hours), to support Aftermarket team workers needs when mobilised; giving advice, guidance and assistance as required.

The preferred candidate:

  • Educated to degree level (BEng) or equivalent in engineering discipline, or HNC/D may be accepted with relevant experience.
  • Methodical organised, with excellent planning & time management skills.
  • General awareness and appreciation of the Petrochemical industry, particular working in offshore Oil & Gas environments is preferred, but not essential.
  • 10 years experience of Mechanical Engineering (ideally heavy marine) and Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Electrical systems is preferred.
  • Familiar with design, use of and deployment of large industrial equipment and associated Control/instrumentation systems.
  • Experience in working on international multi discipline engineering projects.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing service role.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness is required (training can be given).
  • 3 years experience of staff managing / leadership and motivating others.
