The Vacancy

Here at Optum, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our highly capable and talented service and support team as aPlatforms Analyston a permanent basis.

You are joining a skilled and knowledgeable team. Our company values new ideas, innovative solutions, and efficiencies to ensure we deliver better care through technological innovation.

Our support service teams meet in the office at least twice weekly. We work on alternate weekly shift patterns, Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM.

What youll do

As aPlatforms Analyst, you will proactively troubleshoot and maintain our systems using internal monitoring tools. You will perform patch and security maintenance across our products whilst providing the highest level of support. You will provide maintenance to our customers servers using a Central Management System (Datto).

Collaboration with your peers and other teams in the business is key as you will find logical solutions to queries raised and share your knowledge with the support service function. You will diagnose and resolve platform alerts raised to the service desk from the internal support ticketing system (Service Now).

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;

  • Proactive monitoring of Server backups, Server health, low disk space, and general maintenance
  • Support of hosted servers in a cloud environment
  • Perform patch and security maintenance for our customers\’ business systems
  • Manage the deployment of software releases and configuration changes
  • Accurately record all information provided by the customer on the Optum Group Customer Database
  • Liaise with customers and all 3rd parties to resolve incidents and problems
  • Escalate any problems or trends to the appropriate escalation point
  • Comply with any procedures and policies in relation to ISO standards (20000, 9001 & 27001)

Who youll be

We need you to be an experienced IT Technical Specialist with strong troubleshooting and Windows administration skills such as Active Directory. On occasion, you will work directly with customers, so were looking for you to be able to blend your technical skills with your knowledge of working with customers to deliver efficient support service.

You will be a problem solver demonstrating a logical approach to prioritising your workload in similar technical support roles.
