Web Accessibility SME / Consultant 3-Month rolling contract £450-550 per day Inside IR35 3 days per week on-site in Central London

I\’m currently looking for a Web Accessibility Specialist / Consultant to work with an eCommerce/Tech Giant, based in Bishopsgate, Central London.

You will be working with mixed teams of consultants, Developers and Engineers, who work throughout the businesses from the inception of web/mobile projects through to deployment.

You will be auditing sites and prototypes, advising on accessibility, setting standards and helping to put processes in place to ensure that the teams\’ ongoing and future development produces world class, fully accessible sites/apps.

Projects will vary depending upon the needs of the teams you are working with and for this reason we look for a hybrid skill set so that you can work on technical elements of the role and be equally comfortable providing consultancy on accessibility matters.

Experience required:

  • Expert knowledge and experience of accessibility and web standards, WCAG 2.2, ARIA.
  • Proven experience conducting full Accessibility Audits to AA standard.
  • Experience using a range of assistive technology tools such as JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
  • Proven front end development skills – HTML, CSS and JavaScript (to effectively read code and suggest code examples and prototypes).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work across a range of teams within a global business.
