Main Duties:
Working as part of a team of 5 Control Room Operators, this role covers a 24/7 shift pattern and involves working 12-hour shifts in a secure environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the companys SCADA, CCTV and fire alarm systems out of hours
- Responding to alarms from Treatment Works and other company sites
- Dealing with emergency contact from customers outside of office hours
- Responsible for calling out Networks, Production and Contracts Department staff outside of normal office hours.
- Co-ordination of planned and emergency works both inside and outside normal office hours.
- Responsible for raising emergency jobs and obtaining Utility Drawings and issuing electronically to Contracts Gangs.
- Responsible for the issue and return of Company keys.
About You:
You will be used to lone working on a shift basis in an operational environment with experience of responding to live situations and dealing with a reactive workload. You will be comfortable prioritising demands, making decisions within established procedures and remaining calm under pressure.
You should have the following skills:
- Experience with monitoring alarm systems such as SCADA, CCTV and fire systems
- Capable of using a CRM database and billing system to record customer contacts
- You will need clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- You should be able to build effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
- It would be ideal if you have knowledge of the water industry, our supply area and systems but we would also consider a manufacturing or security background
