Experienced Carpenter / Joiner required to join a collaborative and dynamic team delivering Carpentry and Joinery training (Site and Bench Joinery) at a unique education facility in Chatham, Kent. This Trainer role offers a rewarding teaching opportunity in a disciplined, professional setting.

Carpentry and Joinery Trainer Experience:

Level 3 qualification in carpentry / joinery (or Level 2 plus a Wood Machining qualification).

Substantial trade experience of carpentry and joinery, plus some experience and a good working knowledge of wood machining.

Ability to motivate and encourage students, teaching carpentry and joinery techniques to others (e.g. to apprentices, trainees etc).

Knowledge and experience of quality assurance and improvement.

Ability to promote safeguarding and welfare of young people that s/he is responsible for, or comes into contact with.

Additional experience to support Carpentry and Joinery Trainer application:

Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Applications

Formal or informal teaching roles

Knowledge & experience of e-learning and e-assessment tools
