A critical opportunity has opened up for a HVAP Data Centre Shift Leader to join one of the UKs most high-profile data centres in Longcross. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing engineering operations on a flagship site.
Role Overview:
Working a continental shift pattern, youll oversee a large on-site engineering team, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all critical systems. This role suits a hands-on leader with a strong HV background and a proven track record in data centre environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Continental shifts: 4 days, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off

Leading all site engineering activities across a large data centre

Managing and mentoring a team of engineers during shift

Conducting HV switching and authoring switching schedules

Ensuring compliance with all site RAMS and H&S regulations

Liaising with client representatives and reporting to senior management

Taking ownership of critical plant performance and incident response
Qualifications & Experience Required:

Valid and in-date HV Authorised Person certification

Minimum 35 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role

Data centre experience is essential

Background in critical engineering (facilities, healthcare, defence, or similar)

Proven ability to lead HV operations, including switching and schedule writing
