Marine Maintenance Planned Works Manager/Co-ordinator | Barrow, with occasional visits to the Romsey Office| Full Time ( Part – time negotiable) | £30,000 – £40,000 per year (DOE)
Intermarine has been designing and building pontoon systems since 1992. We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of pontoons, marinas, and moorings for both leisure and commercial sectors.
We offer concrete, aluminium, and steel pontoon systems, available as standard products or customised solutions. Recently, Intermarine has expanded its focus in the commercial sector, working on projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Offshore Energy clients, including long-term maintenance contracts.
Approximately 50% of our work is conducted in the UK, while the other 50% is overseas, primarily in Europe, with some projects extending further afield.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in a role that would be well-suited for a time-served electrician looking to transition into project management. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your career by potentially taking on responsibilities in areas such as estimating, sales, site project management, engineering design, and product development.
Are you the right person for the job?
- 2+ year post-academic (Engineering) experience or 5+ years in trade/construction
- Trade-based background (Electrical or Mechanical) progressing to site/facilities management is a plus.
- Strong leadership and project management familiarity
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Advanced knowledge of site safety processes (RAMS and audits)
- Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical technical drawings
- Ability to manage detailed reports
- Full UK driving license and personal vehicle (business mileage paid)
Desirable:
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of coastal/marine environments
- Degree in a relevant engineering field
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH
- 18th Edition Electrical Certification
- COMPEX Certification
What will your role look like?
- Organise and execute a planned maintenance program
- Review RAMS and supervise subcontractors
- Investigate technical issues and support reporting
- Plan and monitor maintenance projects from scope to delivery
- Communicate with stakeholders and prepare updates/presentations
- Evaluate completed works and highlight improvements
