A UK-based fintech organisation is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineering Manager to lead its cybersecurity engineering function. This role will focus on improving and managing the company’s technical security controls, ensuring protection across infrastructure and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of security engineers.
  • Oversee and optimise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, DLP, IDS/IPS).
  • Manage vendor and MSSP relationships.
  • Define and maintain the security tooling strategy and governance.
  • Support incident response, tooling health, and executive reporting.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, with 3–5 years in a hands-on security engineering role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern security tooling, scripting, and automation.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security, network security, and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or similar.
