We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of our social housing properties through high-quality painting and decorating services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of living spaces for individuals and families in need.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks
- Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
- Choose and mix paints and finishes to achieve desired colors and textures
- Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection during painting
- Measure and cut wallpaper or fabric to fit walls and ceilings, and apply adhesives to ensure proper installation
- Repair damaged areas of walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to coordinate painting and decorating projects
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
