We are seeking an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team at the Trust. The Trust is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services across the North East of England. With a strong focus on patient care and community support, the Trust offers a dynamic and supportive environment for professional growth.
Oversee the occupational therapy department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and developing innovative therapeutic strategies. Responsible for the delivery of occupational therapy services across the designated service area. Provide specialist advice to occupational therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Manage complex requests for occupational therapy, triaging and prioritising these, completing evidence-based assessments and interventions. Use client-centred approaches to co-produce negotiated occupational goals and evaluate these with service users collaboratively. Participate in and provide clinical/professional and management supervision. Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working. Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives. Utilize the Trust electronic patient record system. Abide by all Trust policies and procedures. Respond flexibly and creatively to challenges.
Skills:
- Substantial clinical experience in the service area.
- Experience of leading clinical governance activities including clinical audit.
- Extensive experience in clinical supervision of staff.
- Demonstrated effective clinical leadership.
- Ability to articulate the role of the Occupational Therapy Service to a wide and diverse range of people.
