We are looking for a sparky and knowledgeable Communications Officer to help us spread the word about the work we do. You will be a pro-active and creative Communications Officer, a brilliant copy writer and communicator, thrive when working collaboratively with others and have a keen eye for detail. You will enjoy delivering engaging campaigns and developing audiences and participants.
You will get a buzz from engaging with different members of the community in Crawley, listening to and learning from them to find the best ways to engage them in Creative Crawley’s work. The Communications Officer is responsible for implementing effective marketing and PR campaign plans for the March – July programme and preparing campaigns for September to December 2025. They will drive audience development objectives and related strategies that meet the needs of existing and potential audiences.
They will deliver existing campaigns and be the first point of call for external partners in relation to all things communications. They will work alongside the Community Producer, Digital Content Coordinator, Creative Assistant and freelance communications teams. They will ensure the Creative Crawley and associated brands are represented appropriately in all areas of activity and our partners are represented correctly in relation to the partnerships.
All the work the company does has community engagement at its heart. The whole staff team are involved in talking to, collaborating with and listening to local people to help shape the programme.
Salary: £8,000 freelance fee or £32,000 PAYE pro rata Contract: Part time (2 days a week), fixed term, freelance or PAYE for 6 months.
