An exciting digital agency in London is looking for an Associate Project Director to lead complex technical projects across multiple clients.
Location: London
Office Policy: Hybrid
Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 depending on experience
The Job:
- Manage a portfolio of digital and technical projects from setup through to delivery, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Support Business Leads in managing account-level performance and profitability, including financial tracking and team utilisation.
- Own strategic client relationships, working closely to understand briefs, translate them into actionable plans, and drive delivery excellence.
- Plan team capacity, support resourcing decisions, and know when to onboard additional PM support.
- Guide the delivery team to develop project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables in line with client objectives.
- Contribute to RFPs and pitch processes, shaping compelling responses that win new business.
- Lead on risk management, stakeholder reporting, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Drive consistency and quality by aligning teams with internal processes, tools, and PM best practice.
- Coach and mentor more junior project managers and contribute to departmental growth and innovation.
You:
- Significant experience in a project leadership or programme management role, ideally within a digital agency or similar client-facing environment.
- Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall delivery, with the flexibility to adapt approaches to suit each project.
- Proficient in Asana, Jira, Miro and Azure DevOps (Workfront a plus).
- Strong commercial awareness with experience tracking budgets and ensuring utilisation targets.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across fast-moving projects.
- Skilled at RFPs, pitches, and proposal development.
- Experienced in mentoring, coaching, and developing junior PMs.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Scrum Master, PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
