Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a home with a nice firm, who have a great reputation, low staff turnover, offer hybrid working and development? We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join a team in a rewarding client-facing Paraplanner role.
Fram are currently working with a Chartered financial planning company based in London. Our client specialises in Ethical investments and are seeking an additional paraplanner to join their experienced team. You will play a crucial role in supporting two advisers in a more traditional paraplanning capacity. Subsequently, you will take on an active role that involves exposure to client meetings and work closely with the financial planner to analyse a clientβs situation and suggest next steps and financial planning opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- In discussions with the adviser, prepare for and attend a high number of client meetings, following up by updating factfinds, meeting notes and liaising with other teams.
- Coordinate with the financial planner and administrator action points arising from the meeting.
- Build close relationships with clients, acting as a secondary point of contact.
- Research solutions to meet the client needs.
- Responsible for writing advice into an easy to understand and compliant suitability letter.
- Produce financial planning and investment suitability letters across a range of areas including replacement business (pensions and investments), cashflow forecasting, retirement income planning, inheritance tax planning and alternative investments such as VCTs and EISs.
- Working with the administration team to ensure the advice is implemented correctly.
- Frequent attendance at client meetings, assisting the financial planner with cash flow presentations, when required.
- Help to maintain Xplan, ensuring relevant information and research is saved accordingly.
- Assist and contribute to the development of the financial planning proposition, new processes, and systems within the team.
- Act as a point of contact to answer technical queries.
- Attend technical seminars and events to maintain knowledge and communicate findings to the rest of the partnership.
An ideal candidate will be an experienced paraplanner, comfortable working with High Net Worth (HNW) clients. They should be able to assess client needs and articulate appropriate recommendations with guidance from the adviser. Candidates should have a broad understanding of financial products across a range of advice areas and awareness of developments and topics in financial services and the wider Paraplanning community. Hold at least a Diploma/Level 4 and be happy to work towards chartered in the future. Be proficient in using a range of software and technology, including but not limited to Xplan, MS Office, Voyant, and FE Analytics.
