Day rate: Β£225-Β£250

Location: Hybrid / Remote - 4-6 days on-site in central London per month

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a tech-savvy and creative Learning Technologist & Junior Digital Learning Developer to support their growing digital learning ecosystem. This hybrid role combines hands-on LMS administration, technical support, and basic digital learning design, making it ideal for someone who is both technically confident and passionate about modern education. The role is best suited to someone with strong platform management skills and a working knowledge of eLearning tools and instructional best practices, with a willingness to grow their design and development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • LMS & Platform Management (Primary Focus – 60%)
  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and related digital platforms
  • Create and manage user roles, courses, learning paths, and reporting dashboards
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot access/content issues, and liaise with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure content meets technical standards (SCORM, xAPI, accessibility compliance)
  • Provide internal support and training for teams using the LMS
  • Generate and analyze reports on LMS usage, learner progress, and course effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve learning outcomes.
  • Develop user guides, videos, and other support materials on how to use the LMS effectively
  • Address and resolve support tickets related to the LMS from employees and partners.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to technical issues and user inquiries.
  • Digital Learning Design & Support (Secondary Focus – 40%)
    • Assist in the creation of engaging digital learning content using tools like Articulate Rise, Storyline, or H5P
    • Collaborate with SMEs to structure content and apply instructional design principles
    • Support the development of graphics, visuals, and simple multimedia assets for eLearning modules
    • Test and quality-assure all learning materials before deployment
    • Participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement of learner experience and outcomes

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Proven experience administering or supporting an LMS (e.g., Cypher Learning, Mindtickle, Highspot etc.)
    • Familiarity with eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI, AICC)
    • Understanding of digital learning platforms, content packaging, and hosting
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Basic understanding of instructional design and learning theory
    • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

    Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)

    • Experience with learning design tools (Easygenerator, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, Guidde etc.)
    • HTML/CSS & Javascript knowledge or interest in learning technical integrations
