Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a fantastic business who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. This position will be mainly remote but occasional travel to the office will be needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing analysis and reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Preparing forecasts, implementing financial policies, and contributing to the organisation’s financial health and growth.
  • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage monthly and annual financial close processes.
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including domestic and international payments.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and reporting obligations.
  • Support the financial setup of new international offices and liaise with local accountants to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments.

Key Requirements

  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero).
  • Experience in multinational or cross-cultural environments.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
