Interim Deputy Headteacher required to lead on the quality assurance of Quality of Education at this welcoming Special School that caters for Key Stage 3 -5 children with a range of moderate and complex learning needs. As Deputy Headteacher you will be leading on lesson observations, learning walks and student engagement, with a specific focus on complex learning needs. This school has a brilliant reputation of providing children who face barriers to learning with an outstanding education. Staff work well as a team to make school a nurturing and welcoming environment for students. You will be joining an established leadership team, working in partnership with one other Deputy Headteacher and two experienced Assistant Headteachers.
The role requires a Deputy Headteacher who has previous experience leading on Quality of Education, ideally within a SEND setting; however, applicants from a mainstream background will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher who is available on an interim basis.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a middle or senior leadership capacity within a school, ideally as an Assistant Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher within a SEND school.
- Qualified Teaching Status - QTS.
- Previous experience holding responsibility for Quality of Education.
- Strong person management skills, managing a large team of teaching staff.
