The Opportunity

Working within the Midlands Transport Roads Civils and Aviation team, you will be involved in the production and delivery of airfield infrastructure design, modelling, drawings and reports and the supervision of more junior members of the team. You will hold a professional qualification in civil engineering with over 5 years of airfield infrastructure Civils 3D modelling experience, delivery of aviation projects, and design liaison with internal and external clients. You will have extensive knowledge of 3D modelling (Civil 3D) and experience of designs to airfield design standards such as EASA, ICAO, CAP168.

The candidate will need to be able to work on their own initiative under minimal supervision, be a strong team player with good people skills, highly motivated, have great attention to detail and understand the importance of getting things right first time.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills

Requirements

  • Experience of developing Alignments, corridors and 3D surface models
  • Experience in setting up bespoke subassemblies
  • Enthusiasm and ability to improve processes including increasing automation, utilizing scripting and FME to improve process speed and accuracy
  • A good understanding of constraints associated with working on a live airfield
  • Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the teams and within the wider office, as well as externally with clients and contractors
  • Need to be highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
  • Able to work in a multi project, multidisciplinary, multicultural environment

Qualifications: Civil Engineering based degree ICE EngTech, Incorporated or Chartered.
