We have an incredible opportunity as a Calculations Specialist within our Proposition Operations team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join us as a Calculation Specialist in a team that builds and maintains complex manual calculation models to support customer rectifications. Ideally suited to a part-qualified actuary who enjoys solving numerical problems and collaborating with actuarial, operations, and customer service teams to deliver accurate and fair outcomes.
You will design, test, and implement bespoke calculation models for the rectification of customer policies. The role also involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure calculations within our pension and savings systems are correct.
- Proven experience building complex manual calculation solutions using Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and VBA.
- Familiarity with Life and Pensions products is essential, particularly in the context of pricing concepts, product-related calculations and underlying investment characteristics.
- Additional knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop accurate, practical calculation models.
- Experience in test planning and execution to ensure efficient and targeted testing coverage for calculation models and rectification processes.
