We are working with a reputable Legal 500 law firm based in Chester, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Legal Secretary to join their highly regarded Private Client Trusts and Estates team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is looking to contribute to a dynamic legal environment while supporting experienced solicitors in delivering excellent client service.
Role Overview:
As a Private Client Trusts and Estates Legal Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a busy team, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the department. Your role will involve assisting with all aspects of Trusts and Estates, including wills, probate, and trusts management, while offering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to Private Client solicitors, focusing on Trusts and Estates matters.
- Manage client communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Prepare and format legal documents, including wills, trusts, probate forms, and other related paperwork.
- Arrange meetings and appointments, ensuring the team’s schedules are effectively managed.
- Organise filing systems, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
- Draft letters, memos, and other legal correspondence as required.
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and other professionals to obtain information and documents as needed.
- Assist with billing and timekeeping tasks.
- Maintain and update case management systems.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, (minimum 6 months) ideally within a Private Client Trusts and Estates team (experience in general Private Client work will also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of Trusts and Estates law is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Professional and approachable with a client-focused attitude.
