We are hiring a Social Media Video Specialist within the Corporate Affairs and Marketing function to primarily work on Digital and Securities Markets portfolio, including London Stock Exchange and Digital Markets Infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for creating and curating content which builds, nurtures and engages London Stock Exchange's online communities. This is a contractor role but if the role is successful may lead to permanent employment. You will play a key role in shaping the social video strategy for London Stock Exchange plc and amplifying our brand presence across digital platforms in partnership with the group's wider social media team. This role requires experience in filming, editing and delivering social content on Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube; experienced use of live video streaming tools are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Development: Responsible for filming, editing and publishing that content on LSE plc social channels. This includes short form video, static imagery, Instagram stories, YouTube shorts and other emerging platforms.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with social, strategy, brand and the business to create a compelling content strategy and cadence that resonates with the LSE plc audience.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to grow and engage LSE plc's online communities across our social media platforms.
  • Reporting and insights: In partnership with the social team and business marketing, track engagement and growth metrics across LSE plc social channels.
  • Live Event Support: Will play a lead role in capturing live event content from events in London that touch LSEG's wider portfolio with a primary focus on LSE plc.
  • Executive social: Support with social content for our key LSE plc executives to capture content at events, market ceremonies for wider strategic campaigns.
  • Brand governance: Ensure that the content you capture and produce is aligned with the brand guidelines and positioning of LSEG in line with our social media policies, tone of voice and avoid any reputational, political and government risks for our social channels.
  • Event Outreach: In partnership with External Comms and Marketing, support on outreach to bring people into our building across sports, entertainment and cultural moments opportunities.

Note: This role will have off-peak hours on certain occasions and the candidate will be required to work early mornings and/or evenings for live event coverage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in social media, community management, or digital communications, preferably in tech, or B2B sectors.
  • 2+ years marketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of editing and shooting social media content for brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be agile and turnaround best in class content for publishing to social media live-on-the-go.
  • Demonstrate excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities and be able to independently meet project goals.
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit and an international approach that always puts the member and the client at the centre of the experience.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and initiative.
